Lavasa is a planned hill city in the Western Ghats near Pune, laid out around a lake in steep, heavily forested country. RKC carried out township construction works for the city.
Building in the Ghats
Construction in the Ghats means working on slopes, in some of the heaviest monsoon rainfall in the country, with access by narrow hill roads. Earthwork, retaining structures and drainage carry as much of the load as the buildings themselves.
