NH-965 follows the route of Sant Dnyaneshwar's palkhi from Alandi towards Pandharpur. RKC four-laned the existing two-lane stretch from Dharampuri to Lonand, Package IV of the Mohol–Alandi section, for NHAI through an EPC contract.
The section runs from Km 117.000 to Km 166.400, a design length of 49.4 km, and was completed in 2024.

Scope of work
- Four laning of the existing two-lane highway over 49.4 km
- Pavement, embankment and drainage works
- Bridges, culverts and cross-drainage structures
- Junctions, road furniture, markings and safety works
Widening a road in use
The old two-lane road carried traffic throughout construction. The new carriageway was built alongside, traffic was moved across in stages, and the original road was then rebuilt to complete the divided highway.

A 49.4 km stretch of the Palkhi Marg, delivered and open to traffic.
