[01] About the project
NH-353I loops around the south-west of Nagpur, joining the places where the city works: Hingna, MIHAN and its airport-side industry, the Outer Ring Road and the Butibori industrial area. RKC upgraded it to two lanes with paved shoulder from Wadi Junction to Asola Junction, for MoRTH through MSRDC, in EPC mode.
The section runs from design Km 0.000 to Km 39.200, through Wadi, Hingna T-point, Isasani, MIHAN, the Outer Ring Road, Gumgaon, Butibori MIDC, Khapri, Asola and Sindi Railway.
Scope of work
- Upgrading to two lanes with paved shoulders over 39.2 km
- Pavement reconstruction and strengthening
- Culverts, drainage and structures
- Junction improvements, road furniture and safety works
A ring for industry
With MIHAN and Butibori on the route, much of the traffic is heavy. Paved shoulders give slow vehicles room to move aside and keep the lanes clear for everything else.
